Description:

The Everest Base Camp trek is the most famous trekking route in the Everest Region and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see some of the most breathtaking scenery imaginable.

Nepal is a fascinating country and the trek gives an insight into the lives and culture of the Sherpa people. Our ascent is steady and well placed to best suit the acclimatization needed.

Sunrise on the snow capped peaks above the Khumbu Glacier is an unforgettable sight from the summit of Kala Patthar. This trek is one for the lover of high places and those wanting to push themselves to the limit. It is a tough challenge and not to be taken lightly with generally well graded paths but some tougher sections along the Khumbu glacier.

Fly to Lukla Airport from Kathmandu. There are several Airlines operatingdozens of flights every day. Among them Tara Air and Agni Air are generally considered the most reliable company plying the route. Sita Air alos operates two flights every morning from Kathmandu Domestic Airport to Lukla at 7AM and 8:20AM. The flight takes around 25 minutes. During the summer rainy season, there may be substantial delays of flights; even a wait of one week is not unheard of. For the return journey, the flights leave Lukla at 7:40AM and 9AM. Helicopter Charter service is also available on demand and mostly used for rescue operation.
Everest Base Camp Trek is a famous challenging trek in Khumbu, Nepal. Famous for its spectacular mountain peaks and the loyalty and friendliness of its inhabitants (the Sherpa’s), the Everest region (Khumbu) is one of the most popular destinations for tourists in Nepal.
 Everest base camp trek Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu,
Upon your arrival, We will be met at Kathmandu airport by our staff. Our baggage will be loaded into our vehicle and we will be driven to our hotel. These first moments in Kathmandu are often the most memorable. Once we are situated in our hotel
Day 2: Lukla - Monzo, Weather permitting we will have a short but spectacular (25 min) flight to Lukla (9,200ft) for an unforgettable landing. Once all our gear has arrived and has been strapped to yaks or picked up by porters we will really start our trek. After about 4/5 hours we will arrive at the village of Monzo. Overnight in lodge.

Day 3: Monzo - NamcheBazaar,
Today we will officially enter Sagarmatha (Mt Everest) National Park.. We will ascend ‘Namche Hill’ to the Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar (11,270ft) and unofficial capital of the Khumbu. You will get your first view of Mt Everest about half way up the hill. Overnight in lodge.

Day 4: Rest Day in Namche Bazaar,
As we need to acclimatize, this is a great day to re-group, rest and sightsee this beautiful village. This is a perfect opportunity to pick up souvenirs for friends and family back home. You can make the short, but steep hike to the Everest View Hotel where weather permitting you will get a great view of Mt Everest. Overnight in lodge.

Day 5: Namche Bazaar - Tengboche Monastery,
Today we go to Tengboche Monastery (12,700ft). This Monastery is the spiritual center of the Khumbu and a training center for new monks. With luck we will be able to watch the monks worship and receive a blessing from the high lama. Overnight in lodge.
